The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news of total salvation for anyone, indisriminately of who asks! It is the story of the Heavenly Father's unconditional love through Christ, the person, And it is received by marvelous grace through faith, instead of thorugh man's religions efforts. That is good news!
Putting on the wedding garment of Christ’s righteousness is a challenge to our self-righteousness. Are we going to insist that we are just fine the way we are, or are we going to humble ourselves and admit to a necessary change to be welcome in God’s presence?

God doesn’t see everyone the same way, and neither should we. He not only clearly distinguishes between believers and unbelievers, but He treats them in very different ways.
There is an inward and outward person (Romans 2:28). My newness within is my safe place. I will not let trouble follow me into my secret place. In my newness I commune with God.
